### Summary
*America's Combat Logistics Support Agency*: The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) is a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) agency. DLA provides worldwide logistics support for the missions of the Military Departments and the Unified Combatant Commands under conditions of peace and war. It also provides logistics support to other DoD Components and certain Federal agencies, foreign governments, international organizations, and others as authorized.

### Responsibilities
* Responsible for performing a variety of duties relative to the acquisition, management and disposal of real property.
* Updates real property database records, complies with external tasking suspense dates, and performs all real property tasks in accordance with DLAI 4165.6.
* Maintains real estate records for all property occupied/utilized by DLA, to include a record copy of all real estate instruments, and prepares documents to satisfy various reporting requirements.
* Conducts inventories, utilization surveys, and/or compliance inspections, typically to classify space or property and/or to confirm how it is being used.
* Reviews DLA use of real estate to verify that use of the property is in compliance with the agreement specifications, environmental or regulatory requirements, other contractual terms and conditions, and DLA missions and policies.
* Analyzes and evaluates space requests, considering organizational structure, workflow, staffing, mission, location, special requirements and availability of space.
* Services the General Services Administration for leases they award on behalf of the agency.

### Qualifications
To qualify for a Realty Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support:
One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) or competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
* Providing property management and accountability support to an organization.
* Performing property utilization analyses.
* Interpreting and applying laws and regulations relevant to real estate transactions.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

This position is being filled as Term not-to-exceed (NTE) 3 years. For current permanent DLA employees, this position will be filled as a Temporary Promotion or Reassignment NTE (same as timeframe/date above), and may be extended up to a total of five years or converted to a permanent promotion without further competition. For all others, if selected, this would be a Term Appointment NTE 3 years, and not more than six years. The selected applicant will be required to sign a written agreement acknowledging the conditions of this temporary assignment and that they may be released from this position upon management discretion.
