Senior Medical Program Specialist (Priority Health)

Provide leadership, direction, decision-making, input and management of medical/clinical programs supporting organizational goals across all business lines with reach across multiple disciplines and teams within and outside of the organization. Partners with internal teams to develop and implement strategic initiatives as an independent decision maker and SME for medical/clinical initiatives. Serves as liaison for health plan initiatives with multiple stakeholders including employer groups, statewide community entities, and regional collaboratives.
The overarching role of the program management specialist senior is to provide coordination of strategic initiatives and the multiple projects needed to achieve success in these programs.
o Develop and manage clinical /medical programs to include the assessment, analysis, planning, implementation and evaluation.
o Manages a portfolio of medical projects to include project scope, targets, timelines, resource requirements/costs, milestones and data requirements.
o Creates and prepares accompanying documents and reports aligned with program goals and deadlines. Monitors results of pilot programs to ensure objectives are achieved.
o Partner with internal teams and/or serve as a network/community liaison for strategic initiatives, training and programs. This may include multiple interventions, programs and data in support of network efficiency, health outcomes and patient experience.
o Manage vendor and stakeholder relationships including management of scope, expectations, status and issues follow up.
o Develops project plans and strategies inclusive of education materials, meetings, and trainings in conjunction with internal and external audiences
o Serves as resource for researching industry practices, sharing best practice and market surveillance information. Makes recommendations to improve the quality of services provided
o Delegate tasks, encourage and coach team members, holding each individual accountable for their responsibilities related to successful management of the program or deployment. Prioritize initiatives that will effectively manage and evolve and sustain program
*Basic Qualifications:*
Education - Bachelor's Degree
Experience - 5 years of experience typically gained through skills/knowledge/abilities in health plan, managed care or healthcare delivery, administration or clinical practice management
*Preferred Qualifications:*
Education - Bachelor's Degree
Experience - Knowledge of Facets Cactus, Health Information Technology and Business Objects,Knowledge of Health and Population Technology and Provider reporting
PMP Certification
